Say Hi to Dexter the van!

Hi Dexter!

Dexter is a 2015 Volkswagen Transporter 5.1, purchased by us in October 2021.

Dexter will be converted to a full campervan, by us (with some exceptions). This is a blog to document the journey for us to look back on. Previously he’s been used by a plumber & a landscape gardener. Plenty of cleaning to be done!

At this point, he’s booked in to have a poptop & the windows installed, but not until the end of January.

The plan is for us to get that done, then we’ll insulate & carpet the back. Then we’re on the saving wagon to get a RIB seat in the back ASAP! As there are four of us we can’t use it as a family vehicle until then. Once the RIB is in, we can use it to get away, we’ve got plenty of camping stuff to use until we can afford to fit the kitchen etc!
